The PTO is looking for a few individuals to represent as community members in the Principle Selection Process. We encourage any individual who is committed to the principal selection process and the future of Mason Crest Elementary School to apply. The only thing we ask is that you must be available for the entire day (7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
We will be compiling the final list of interested community members to submit to the Region by Wednesday, April 10, 2018. These individuals will assist the Region in the Principal Selection Process, which will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018, at the Gatehouse Administration Center in Falls Church.
A Mason Crest Elementarrepresentative from the office of Administrative Employment will be coming out to y School on Wednesday, April 4th, at 7:00 pm with Region Assistant Superintendent, Fabio Zuluaga to meet with the community to provide additional information regarding the principal selection process. Below is a guide for the information the Region will need for each name submitted.
Attention Parents or Guardian of a Current 5th Grade Student:
VA Law requires that all students entering 6th grade receive a booster dose of the Tdap vaccine prior to the beginning of school. It is recommended that you submit one of the following documents to the school office by June 8, 2018:
a copy of your child’s immunization record showing the Tdap vaccine.
a note on a healthcare provider’s letterhead stating the date the Tdap vaccine was given
a healthcare provider’s written statement of a permanent or temporary medical exemption.
Help your child and the school by spreading the word to all friends and family to send their donations to your child’s own personal Fun Run fundraising webpage. Their webpages are located on the masoncrest.myfunrun.com
As usual, the amount raised is the main source of income for our PTO to support our school.
Join us on Thursday, October 19th at 7pm for a viewing of Screenagers. This documentary film is about the impact of the digital age on children and how to help them minimize harmful effects and find balance.
