Children’s Clothing Donations needed

Mason Crest is in need of donations of boy and girl pants sizes 6-12, in addition to boys underwear. Elastic waisted pants are preferable such as stretch pants for girls and athletic or sweatpants for boys. Any donations can be dropped off at the front office.

School Supply and Open House help needed!

Each year the PTO provides the school supplies to Mason Crest. We really  need help sorting the supplies so the teachers have them ready before the open house on Thursday.  We need help starting Monday, 8/16. We’ll need volunteers for the Open House as well. Many hands make light(er) work!

MCES Back to School Teacher and Staff Lunch

Please help us welcome our wonderful Mason Crest teachers and staff back to school with an appreciation lunch hosted by the PTO on Thursday, 8/19, from 11am-12pm. The PTO will provide the main course and we are seeking donations of drinks, fruit, salad, chips, and dessert, as well as volunteer support for the event. Click on the link to see how you can help.

Kindergartener Play Date

Do you have a Kindergartener starting at Mason Crest Elementary School this year? The PTO would like to give students and parents an opportunity to meet each other. Join us at Mason Crest Elementary School playground for our incoming Kindergarten meet and greet! There are two dates:

  1. Wednesday, July 28th at 1:30 pm
  2. Saturday, August 14th at 9:30 am

Your kids will meet their future classmates while you meet fellow parents and find out more about your new school! We look forward to meeting all of you!

From April 13th to April 26th, you can still buy books through our virtual Book Fair. Click on the link below to take you to Mason Crest’s online book fair.  All book orders over $25 will ship directly to your house for free!

Back-to-School Bingo Night & Raffle

This is the forth year we have purchased school supplies for the students.

To all the parents who donated to the school supply drive – THANK YOU! Many parents continue to ask what they can donate throughout the year.

The school and PTO are always in need of the following donations:

Clorox or Lysol Wipes
Tissues
Hand Sanitizer
Ziplock bags

5th Grade Immunization Notice

Attention Parents or Guardian of a Current 5th Grade Student:

VA Law requires that all students entering 6th grade receive a booster dose of the Tdap vaccine prior to the beginning of school.  It is recommended that you submit one of the following documents to the school office by June 8, 2018:

  1. a copy of your child’s immunization record showing the Tdap vaccine.
  2. a note on a healthcare provider’s letterhead stating the date the Tdap vaccine was given
  3. a healthcare provider’s written statement of a permanent or temporary medical exemption.
  4. a notarized Religious Exemption Form which is available online at: http://www.doe.virginia.gov/support/health_medical/certificate_religious_exemption.pdf
